  • More Crafting in the Car Samples

Just thought I’d share a few more cards I made while we were on our way to Ohio (see post below). These first four were made using a 6x6 paper pack from My Minds Eye (only available in the UK- I got mine HERE) and a few random dimensional stickers (topiary and butterfly).

The next two cards were made using a 6x6 paper pad from Stampin’ Up which was only available during the Sale-A-Bration promotion. I curled the edges on the one card and created a fringe on the edges of the other card. I also added a felt embelishment from EK Success. I’ll be adding a sentiment to these cards when I’m ready to use them.

I made these two cards using paper from KI Memories Celebrate Life collection and chipboard letters from Making Memories Animal Crackers collection. I used the scallop circle punch from Stampin’ Up to punch out the designs from the KI Memories paper. I also added buttons from the Animal Crackers collection to the center of the scallop circles. It’s so nice when everything coordinates.

I’m looking forward to seeing everyone at the crop tomorrow!!!

  • Papercrafting on the go!

We took a nice road trip to Ohio this past weekend, and since I knew I would be trapped in the car for at least 10 hours, I decided to bring along a tote bag full of supplies. This is nothing new though, I do this on every road trip longer than a few hours. It’s my own personal limited supply challenge which helps me get quite a few projects done quickly since I don’t have that much to choose from. This time I brought a 6x6 paper pack from My Minds Eye (only available in the UK- I got mine HERE), a 6x6 paper pad from Stampin Up, KI Memories papers, K&Co. fabric brads, a few spools of ribbon, buttons & brads, scallop punches, and a few random dimensional sticker sheets from Making Memories and K&Co. I also brought inks and stickles but only ended up using the brown ink, so next time I’ll just bring that. I didn’t bring any stamps, so I’ll add the sentiments to the cards as I need them. I felt like I got a lot done and it definitely helps to pass the time.

  • Crop & Cricut Class – Friday, April 23rd

There are still spots available for the crop and Cricut class on Friday. You can check out the details HERE

The hours for this crop are 11am-8pm. Everything will be the same as the March crop: Door Prizes, Goody Bag, Lunch and Silent Auction. Table space is on a first come, first served basis. $20

A Cricut class will also be offered in the evening on April 23rd. The class will be held from 6-8pm. We’ll start off with a quick demo of the Sure Cuts A Lot software. You will learn basic welding to create your layout title. You do NOT need to bring your laptop or have the SCAL software to participate. We will then use the Cricut to create a winter themed layout to display all of your snowy pictures from the February blizzards. Please bring your Cricut (any Cricut machine) with a new blade installed. If you haven’t changed your blade yet, bring it along and I’ll show you how to replace it. You will also need: Paper Doll Dress Up and Everyday Paper Dolls cartridges, 2 cricut mats, paper trimmer, scissors, adhesive, pop dots, white stickles, blue and light brown ink. Fee: $22

Here’s a sneak peak of the Cricut class layout:
